South/Southwest Austin

     If you want to live in the heart of the action and walking distance to everything, then S. Congress, also known as SoCo, in S. Austin, is the place for you. S. Congress begins at the Colorado River and the Congress Bridge, and runs south towards TX-71, and is walking distance from downtown. SoCo has a dynamic vibe and a known cultural district famous for its acclaimed restaurants, galleries, antiques, eclectic shops, live music venues, and more recently, food trucks!

     Homes for sale in South Austin will vary in price from north and south of Tx-71. The bordering neighborhoods of SoCo and Zilker Park are considered historic districts and consist of older and more expensive homes than in SW Austin. The S. Austin subdivisions located south of TX-71 are less expensive and are entirely different than the SoCo neighborhoods. There are options for affordable housing in S. Austin, though, if this is where you choose to reside.

     The homes for sale in Southwest Austin are affordable to mid-range and up, and are newer with higher square footage compared to the homes in South or Central Austin. The SW area is highly sought after for the AustinISD schools, the family-oriented neighborhoods, and it is located within 15-20 minutes of downtown. The SW area have many local amenities, also; like, community pools, restaurants, golf courses, gyms, shopping, and much more.
